Hippodrom in Cologne

I can not understand the negative reviews here. We were on March 8th, 2020 for brunch and I have to say, it was rich, varied and of high quality. When we left around 2:00 p.m. there was more than enough of everything. Possibly. there were some adjustments after the winter break. In any case, it was significantly better than many of the reviews here suggest.

Were on December 27th Brunch for the family. Buffet was sufficient and good. The dishes tasty. A big thank you goes to the restaurant management and the service. So, who knows the Hippodrome of the predecessor should not go now. The offer is reduced by half. The hot food was really only lukewarm and of poor quality. Nothing was signposted and if you asked, vague answers came. The staff was bad to not trained. But try. Price performance was right on no case. You can get this brunch anywhere for 20 euros. We will never go back. Was very disappointing.

We were there for brunch. The selection was good, nothing unusual, more standard. But everything tasted good, the staff was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was ok. For the elderly and the disabled, it is unfortunately bad that the toilets are one floor lower.

It's worth celebrating a celebration here! Here you pay per person for food and drink in the package price. There is a versatile excellent buffet. In the afternoon there is a cake buffet. The ambience is very good. At a party, I was lucky enough to have horse racing that day. A great conversation. The staff is accommodating and very nice. I can only recommend it!

Great place for big company events in summer

Remarkable location for parties and all kinds of events. Very good buffet and courteous service. Top location at the racecourse with an excellent view of the arena. The outdoor spaces are covered. Big parking lot !!!

Yesterday we were invited to the Hippodrome for a birthday and a little unsettled after the bad reviews. Especially the host. But that was completely unfounded. 5 stars for the friendly and very attentive service. The food was delicious and also sufficient. The selection was really less than in the past, but you can only eat until you are full and there was enough for it and tasted good.

Quality of the food very bad. Fish from the day before, meat dry bread from the day before. Sparkling wine for the reception failed, service not master of the situation. The visit was a disappointment. Isn't worth the money.

Very poor selection. Bread rolls were hard and there was no bread at all. The salmon had already dried up at least from the previous day.

A little lifeless, no music or good ambience; the food was not really fresh and cold. The salad buffet was already cleared away at eight o'clock. All in all, I would not go there again ...
